Best Hidden Tempura Donburi Restaurant

Did you know that there is a great great Tempura Donburi Restaurant hidden at Shaw Centre?!! Their menu is so simple yet so satisfying and filling!! Next time you are around Orchard area, come to iSetan/Shaw Centre and take the side entrance to go up to lvl 3!

If you are not familiar with the area, finding this restaurant would be a bit challenging. Look for minimalist Japanese looking restaurant with navy blue cloth hung on the entrance that says “Tenjin”, then you are at the right place! (Not sure this helps but ok 😂)

As mentioned; their menu is simple; they are only serving 6 types of tempura set, a few selections of side dishes and drinks. Each set comes with rice, miso soup, and salad.

Here are the ones I have tried and recommend:

1. Vegetable Set S$12.80

2. Prawn Set S$17.80

3. Tempura Moriwase Set S$24.80

Don’t be fooled by the presentation, it might not look much but all if them is very filling!! My favourite has to be the Vegetable Set; it consists of different vegetables tempura with different texture to satisfy your tastebud. Those who don’t like vegetables or are turned off by this idea; you can at least have a try of other sets such as prawn or tempura moriwase set. I can guarantee you’ll fall in love with the veggies served with the seafood as well.
