Hi lemon8 foodies👀
As a chewy food + udon lover, here’s my review of the viral udon bar- UMAI!
Location wise it’s quite accessible, i usually walk there from bugis mrt!
Prices are quite friendly, it’s mostly below $20 for a bowl of udon with ingredients (tempura, beef etc)!
I like that they have different udon noodle types:) For my first visit i had the standard sanuki udon! It was quite chewy and the portion was rather generous👌 I also had their tempura and while the batter was not as light as i’d have liked it, it’s crispy and not overfried/hard so overall still quite a decent plate of tempura👌
It was quite an enjoyable meal overall! So while i wouldn’t queue 1h for it, i think up to 30 mins of queuing is still ok haha and i will return to try their other udon noodle types 🤓
PS/ if you’re an udon lover too, tamoya at plaza sing is my go to😉
