The light is finally filtering through, but it's too early even for the sun this morning. Definitely a stereotypical Monday. I usually love Mondays, but this morning...

Whew!

My son has been up since 4am. Seems to be his new wakeup time these days. And, good heavens, was he wired for sound! I love early mornings, but I'm groggy for at least two hours after I get up. This kid had enough energy to power a rocket to space!

If my pictures weren't getting taken, I'd post a pic of him from yesterday. The hyperactivity has been unreal the last few days. He was so covered in mud yesterday, it took 25 minutes to get it all out of his thick hair. He had a caked on mud goatee all the way around his mouth. I'm not even kidding. He looked like a 4.5' tall 55 year old man. Quite hilarious!

Charlie-girl is entering the tantrum phase. This popped up out of nowhere, overnight. But all I have to do is tickle her and kiss her little cheeks and she's over it. 🥰

I'm switching up my homemaking schedule today. There are non-negotiables that I do daily, but there are things I do weekly. I stick to a pretty good routine for myself. But after a while, I get tired of the same routine so I switch up the weekly tasks. I typically have one weekly task every day. Doing them all in one day is too much and gets overwhelming and then you dread when that day gets here. So, Mondays, I change all the bed sheets. Wednesdays, I clean bathrooms. Tuesdays and Thursdays I mop, but on Thursdays I also wax all the floors. Etc, etc, etc...

I'm still doing the beds, but I'm also mopping today instead of tomorrow. Tomorrow, I want to hit up all the baseboards and give them a good wet wipe, so I don't want to mop after doing all that.

I am romanticizing Spring already. We have some major builds going on in and around April and I cannot wait! Fall is my jam and I love the holidays, but I'm so excited about these additions that I'm ready to fast forward thru it all. The biggest thing is adding the french doors to our bedroom and attaching a rectangular gazebo to the outside of our bedroom for our own private use.Its a good thing we have land or else we'd run out of space to build. 😆 Over the next few years, we also have to be clearing out some trees in strategic areas for the yurts or cabins to go in. We can't decide which yet, but these will be for our retreat. This has been our plan since we bought the property: Woodview Cottage Retreat for christian couples. We plan to host weddings, have outdoor sermons on Sundays (which we will be building a pavilion for eventually), host and cater receptions or dinners, themed tea parties, and do activities to help bring couples closer together. Putting all my degrees to actual use. The goal is to be able to allow my husband the ability to retire from his job early and run it full time with me, together, and then hopefully all the kids will step in to help run it. Trying to leave my children with a legacy they can pass down someday. My 20 yr old took over my cleaning company and has done exceptionally well with it...4 more kids to leave something to and for.

I'm rambling like I do most mornings. My mind -- always running.

I'll be back later, but I want to wish y'all a happy Monday and a great new week to start fresh, be productive, be creative, and enjoy your homemaking journey.
