Homemade TORTILLAS

Easy and delicious homemade tortillas 🌮 RECIPE⬇️

4 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp salt

6 tbsp shortening, butter or lard

2 cups hot water

In a bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in the shortening. Mix until the flour feels like wet sand. Slowly add in water and form into a ball. Knead for 5 minutes on a floured surface. Coat with oil and let rise for 20 minutes in a covered bowl. Portion out dough into golf balls. Roll out into a thin circle. Place on a medium to high heat pan. Let the tortilla bubble then flip and let cook for 10-15 more seconds. Enjoy!
