On the days I don’t want to take a Pilates class or go for a run, I like to take a nice long walk.
I usually try to walk around 4-5 miles for my daily movement.
But I always have those days that I just want to stay home which is totally okay, but I know I will feel so much better if I do any type of movement.
My two favorite methods I use to help me get motivated are:
Walking with a purpose to get something like coffee or breakfast with a friend.
Another method is walking with a view of the ocean or water.
Being surrounded by nature gives me a boost of serotonin in a way.
Being outdoors makes me want to walk for longer especially if I have a good playlist.
Walking also helps me get out of my head and boosts my mood.
Walking is proven to show a large decrease in depression and anxiety as well.
