best jb bak kut teh??? 🐖

my family frequents JB for some of the best weekend breakfasts we’ve had, and this weekend my dad drove us to kiang kee bak kut teh!! just look at all the warm soups cooking in clay pots YUM 😤😤

we left at 6am, and drove in to kota tinggi, we reached around 730am, and it was surprisingly a bit empty than usual! according to my dad who frequents the place, there’s usually a line out by then 😭

one thing to take note, it’s not the usual peppery clear bak kut teh that you see in singapore, but rather the more herbal, body-warming kind of bak kut teh!!

when you order at the counter, you just tell them the number of persons at your table and they will choose a size for you accordingly. as a group of 4 when we saw the pot, we thought they ordered the wrong size for us, but the pot was really just enough for all of us, not too little and not too much 🤌🏻🤌🏻

they also have special dishes of pig kidney, liver, and a whole mix for you to try!! definitely loved how it made me feel all warmed up in the cold morning, and it’s worth the trip down to JB!!
