For the herbal bkt & pig trotter lovers (JB) 🐷

I was in JB to get my hair done in the Pelangi area and was searching for a BKT spot nearby for lunch, that’s when I found 興旺發肉骨茶 RESTORAN HOH BAK KUT TEH. They’re rated 4.6* on Google and that’s pretty high so I gave it a shot!

The prices were not cheap, with BKT for 1 pax going for RM18, 2 pax for RM36 and 3 pax for RM54.

🍲 We ordered the 2 pax portion Bak Kut Teh and it was rather big!! Totally enough to feed 3-4 pax if you’re ordering other dishes. I really liked the fried tau kee that remained crispy even after soaking up the herbal soup 😋 There were pork belly and pork ribs inside as well!

🐽 Pig Trotter (RM17)

Tender, braised and so flavourful. This is a must-get!!! Drown your rice in the dark sauce and I bet you can finish two bowls. Their sauce was so well-balanced and really savoury, we enjoy this a ton!

🍳 Omelette (RM10)

Just normal omelette HAHAHA not bad, a good side dish.

They have sesame oil chicken and some other items available as well, so it’s quite a good spot to have BKT. The food was generally quite nice but it’s just slightly pricier. The owner was super friendly as well so be sure to check them out if you’re in the area!
