w the hols here is it js me but everyone ard me is going JB rn so JB fans, this is for u !! yess finally not a cafe post bc their local food is the real deal😋 have alw wanted to find herbal bkt in sg but its so hard to find.. let alone a good one :” so i was so happy when i found this hidden gem in JB!

and yes! its not the usual bkt spot ard ksl that everyone visits for its convenience but taste wise..🤧 trust me when i say yall have been missing out on this local favourite😰 bc uk its GOOD when its frequented and recommended by locals🤤

its a big open sheltered area with a buslting atmosphere, giving off nice local and homely family restaurant vibes which i love bc it js makes u feel like a local here! do come early bc this place is alw filled when i visit (shows how good the food is🤭) but dont worry bc getting a seat is usually quick! they have surpisingly clean toilets too which is alw a plus hehe :P

best herbal bkt ever ! how can a soup have such rich flavours yet taste so light and refreshing at same time🥺 esp w the hint of sweetness, each mouth was so rich and so addictive !! that being said the soup ran out so qucikly but guess what! they provide unlimited free soup refills — u bet i refilled at least 5 times🥹 and omg their bkt was filled w SO MUCH ingredients like fried beancurd skin, beancurd puff, enoki mushrooms, pig liver, intenstines etc the bowl was literally FULL🥺 and u thot thats all but they gave so much meat too which made the soup super value and all the ingredients js complemented e/o so well🤤

oh! and ofc we had to get the youtiao bc youtiao soaked in bkt~ name me a btr combi😭 so rmb to get it too bc it WILL hit the spot i promise u :3 a smart tip for yall is for large grps like 4 pax, we alw like to get 2 bowls of the 2 pax portion instead of one bowl for 4 pax! it makes sharing the soup so much easier and im pretty sure they give more ingredients too this way, plus not forgetting the soup refills too🤫 ur welc for this hidden tip hehe~

🐟 seasonal canton style steamed fish

steamed fish w bkt?? yes u heard me right ! their steamed fish is a MUST TRY here🥺 trust me when i say u will literally see every table w a plate of steamed fish bc its just THAT GOOD its defo on par w their bkt🤤 the fish was so meaty and tender and extremely fresh too🥹 what makes the fish so special is their garlic gravy and fried shallots which rly HITS the spot and its a flavour i have nvr tasted bf but this combi🤌🏻😭 even my sis who’s not a fish lover loved it !!

and the best part is u get to pick the fish ur ownself !! u get to choose which type of fish u pref, what size, its all up to u :3 ofc you can also have the staff to pick the right one for u! and bc their fishes are seasonal, the fishes they have changes each time and are based on seasonal price :) def order their steamed fish on your visit u wont regret it😋

they also offer a scrumptious variety of sides, from steamed tofu, vegetables to pork legs and many more😋 our ‘must order’ are alw the stir fry minced meat doumiao and steamed tofu! they complement the other dishes perfectly and are so savoury and flavourful which eaten tgt w their fluffy rice makes for the perfect bite🤤 the best part is that each vegetable choice they offer is cooked differently which gives u a lot more to try !!

overall this place is a MUST GO if ur visiting jb TRUST🥺 one of the BEST local food i’ve had in jb and its so affordable as well— what more not to love :3 the food is js so good and so filling omg its so worth !! knew i shldnt gatekeep this place any longer and its def worth the short travel down to this place! everyone go give this place a try rn even if ur not a fan of herbal bkt as trust me yall will def get converted aft this meal hehe🤤
