When travelling to Kuala Lumpur, I prefer to travel by coach instead of flying. I’ve done this multiple times and recently travelled to Sunway for a weekend trip. Here are my review and experience.

Price:

I booked my tickets online through WTS Travel. 2 way bus tickets cost S$70. Cheaper than taking the flight + transport into KL city.

Pickup point:

The pickup location is convenient for me. Our Tampines Hub is 4 bus stops away from my house. The pickup point is located at the Coach Bay of Our Tampines Hub near the stadium of Gate 11.

Duration:

Departure time from Our Tampines Hub was at 6:15am. Along the way, the coach picked up customers at Suntec City. We reached Tuas Checkpoint at 7:30am. Completed immigration for both SG and MY and continued the journey into Malaysia at 8:00am. 1.5 hour into the journey, there was a rest stop at Ming Ang Express Bus Stop in Yong Peng. We were given 30 minutes to use the toilet and have breakfast. After emptying and refilling the tummy, the journey continues for 3 hours until we reached Kuala Lumpur at 1:00pm. Some customers alighted at Berjaya Times Square, being the first drop off. At 1:30pm, we arrived at our destination, drop off in front of our hotel lobby, Sunway Lagoon Hotel. The total travelling time took about 7 hours sitting in the chair and sleeping along the way.

Plus point:

Taking the WTS coach to Kuala Lumpur was hassle free. The pick up and drop off was accessible from where I was staying. The journey was comfortable, no bumpy rides. The chair can be reclined and leg room was spacious. Luggages were stored in the compartment under the bus and there were no limit to the number of luggages you want to bring.

Minus point:

There was no inflight entertainment and I ended up looking out the window to see the scenery and sleeping. There was no toilet onboard, I had to limit my liquid intake. However, there was a toilet break near Sungai Besi Toll Plaza.

Overall, I will choose to take the WTS coach 🚎 again whenever I am travelling into Kuala Lumpur. This is because the location for both pick up and drop off are conveniently located and I can rest for almost 7 hours in the bus before enjoying the rest of my days.
