I put in 8 hard works to rain for this half marathon and it definitely paid off! My first half I ran a 1:58 and this was my second half where I ran a 1:55. It may not seem like a huge difference but I felt more knowledgeable and stronger the second time around and I am very proud of my pr🥰🎉 Key things I did are running majority of my runs easy to let my legs recover while still getting in that mileage and building my aerobic base to be able to run for longer. Then I incorporated 1-2 hard speed runs a week to help get me faster. Following a training plan is super helpful especially when newer to running. Cross training and lifting also help so much when it comes to running, I would highly recommend doing both. This helps get you strong and prepared for your race and switches up your workouts. Lastly eating is so so important and will make a huge difference.
