I’m running my first half marathon on April 28th and my second half marathon on May 18th. Here is how I’m prepping to run these as someone who’s only been running since June✨
I am using a 12 week training plan. My runs consist of easy runs, tempo runs, speed intervals, runs at my half marathon pace, and long runs.💛
I am also cross training once a week at CycleBar. This keeps my heart rate going but isn’t as much impact on my legs.🩵
I’m keeping my body strong, stretched and mobile at Barre Class as well. We do weights, mobility exercises and stretching in class.💜
I spend my rest day doing recovery therapy at Recoverie Wellness Club in Brooklyn. They offer many different types of therapy, but I really like Contrast Therapy. This is alternating between the sauna and the cold plunge.🩷
