I have started a running journey - with the goal of running a half marathon by the end of the year (fingers crossed).
This is what I’ve learned on week 2:
1. I have so much more mental energy, and I have so much more bandwidth to handle stressors.
2. I’m not currently policing my food intake, but my body is asking for protein and carbs, and I feel like we are communicating better on what it needs v what I want.
3. I have never ran before - so this is such a learning process for me. My body is definitely not adjusted, so I am pretty sore and tired most of the day. I’m also on my period, but I’m trying to respect my body’s need for rest.
I haven’t noticed any weight off so far, but I definitely can see my thighs and waist are narrower
