Working in this industry for 10 years & I love it

Hey yall I wanna share about my experience working in the same industry for 10 years. I'm now 10 years into the financial industry as a senior financial consultant.

How did it all start out? Do I love my job? What do I do? 🤔

It all started out with me working as a personal assistant to my boss.

Noticing that I love talking and connecting with people, my boss suggested that I should try to start out on my own. So I took a leap of faith and venture out independently.

Here, I helped my clients to plan up holistic financial planning so that they don't have to worry about future retirement or unforeseen situation arise 🛡️

Working with my colleagues has been a joy as we have built up a family culture while working together

The day starts out for me as I plan my schedule for work, do up policy summaries for my clients and get my paperwork done up before I meet my clients for coffee ☕️

Is it awkward to meet new people or clients?

As a functional extrovert, I find myself to keep talking when there is a need to. I do ❤️ my "me" a lot as well, sometimes to the extend

I find myself not socialising unless people approach and start a topic with me 😊

Being in the industry for 10 years, is it hard? Stepping into a new environment takes time to adjust and learn

But it gets easier when you stay long enough, loving each and everything you do!
