Why I like doing shift work 🕐

Most people prefer working office hours while I prefer doing shift work! Am I weird? I don't think I am if you read the reasons below😂

✔️No crowded MRTs and I can escape the peak hours!

-I really hate the crowd in the stations and cramping in with everyone in the train during the peak hours at 8-10amish and 4-6pmish. And when I do the night shift, everyone is going to work while I'm on the way home to sleep 😴

✔️I can avoid the weekend crowds

-Some places in Singapore are really crowded during weekends such as nature parks and Mandai Wildlife Reserve and I love going to these places on my off days. So, it's a blessing to visit these places whenever I have a weekday off because everyone else is working while I'm enjoying the emptiness of the parks 🍀

✔️I do not like routine work

-This differs for every occupation actually. But I personally feel working the office hours in my industry is rather boring and mundane, totally not suited for me at my age 😂😂 And I am someone that likes 'colours' and variety

✔️I earn more money because I get shift allowance!!

-Most importantly, money!! On top of my basic salary, I get shift allowance too and it's quite a substantial amount 💰💲

Doing the shift work is indeed tiring especially so because of the night shifts and if you're working the PM-AM shift and you live far away... but for me my home is only 40-45 mins away from the workplace so I can still dahan the shift work for now 😅 Maybe when age catches up with me I will opt for an office hour job LOL.
