NYE at Paris 🇫🇷 Hotel Balcony

I spent New Years in Paris recently and one of my biggest concern was catching Covid while watching fireworks in a crowd especially since Covid regulations are not enforced there. Another concern was getting pickpocketed and of course surrounded by potentially drunk and dangerous people.

🏨 Hotel Splendid Etoile

We booked almost a year in advance and paid a total of €1,442 which costed about $418 SGD per night. When we checked the price again later in the year it had risen to $600-$700 per night. (Do note: the room with the view is Superior Balcony)

The location of this hotel is fantastic as well as its right at the exit of Charles de Guelle which has the RER A train to Disneyland and CDG airport. As it’s located at the center of Paris, it was also relatively easy to visit the different museums. Champs Elysse is also walkable from the hotel.

This is definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The beds and pillows were really comfortable, the service was great as well.

As this hotel is more of a traditional Parisian hotel, whenever you leave the hotel you will have to return them the room key and collect it back when you return. Their doors also only lock from the outside, but fret not because as long the doors are closed it cannot be opened from the outside unless with the key.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in Paris over NYEs and would like the splurge for some comfort. Quite literally after the fireworks were done, there was a fight downstairs between 2 drunk guys 😂
