In my opinion, winter is the BEST time to lock into a routine and have tunnel vision. Summer bodies are BUILT IN THE WINTER. I know it’s said often, but it is true. Here are a few of my daily non-negotiables to slay my winter arc:
⁃ Daily Movement: Get your body moving, even if it’s just a walk or some stretches. Keeping active helps boost your mood, lose fat and increase energy, which is so important during the winter, not only physically, but mentally as well.
⁃ Prioritize Protein/Eat Healthy: Fuel your body with balanced meals and plenty of protein to keep your muscles strong and your energy steady! Winter comfort foods can be nutritious and still delicious. I aim to hit at LEAST 1g of protein per lb or body weight or goal weight. Winter is also the perfect time to have a “growing phase” if you want.
⁃ Consistent Sleep/Wake Time: Waking up at the same time every day and getting quality sleep will help your body get into rhythm and feel energized, even during shorter days.
⁃ Limit Screen Time: Give yourself time to unwind and recharge by cutting down on screen time before bed. It’s perfect for helping your mind reset!
Start small with these habits and slowly build a routine that feels sustainable. That way, you won’t feel overwhelmed—and you’ll be slaying your Winter arc in no time!🫶🏻
