the rules im trying to hold myself accountable to:
- 8-10k+ steps a day
- 4-5x lifting a week + core day
- 4x cardio a week
- whole food eating, slight deficit
- 3L water minimum
for some context, i started losing weight around summer of 2023 and since then i have lost around 35 pounds. after i lost some weight i stopped going to the gym because i started uni, and i didn’t know how to manage my time well nor did i have a lot of money to spend on a membership. but during this time i was still restricting my eating a lot, so i ended up being “skinny fat.” eventually around december 2023 i finally got a gym membership and started lifting consistently. but up until now i have been so torn between wanting to be skinny but also wanting to have muscle. so i’ve been extremely inconsistent with my eating like eating a lot one week and the next week restricting because i felt guilty. i now learned i have to focus on one thing at a time. so now im just focusing on my protein intake, staying in a slight deficit and keeping up with lifting. i will take this route for about 1.5-2 months and then maybe start a bulk depending on how this goes for me!
