🎃 HHN FRIGHTS FOR 4 - worth it or not?

i’ve been gg to HHN for the past 8 years so i think im pretty seasoned myself 😎 anyway this year my friends and i decided to buy the frights for 4 pass! we used the mastercard exclusive and paid +$40 more per pax for some perks. let’s see if it was worth it or not…

⏰ EARLY ENTRY

for the extra $$ we paid, we got to enter the park at 6pm instead of 7-715pm. the regular daycrowd LEAVES the park at 6. meaning that only the people who bought the frights for 4 package get to be inside!! however, only select rides were open namely human, cylon and transformers. at 630pm, two haunted houses (sweet home & cursed scrolls) open up as well so you get early entry to those!

this was vvv worth it to me because 1. you get to sit the rollercoasters from 6-630pm where there’s virtually no queue - these rides normally go up to 30-50 mins wait time during hhn. 2. you get to experience 2 haunted houses with ALSO no queue times! we waited 5 minutes and because there was much lower volume of ppl, they let us go in in our own groups instead of large groups combined w other ppl. this enhanced the experience a lot 👻 3. since you basically clear 2 houses and the rides early on, when the park opens at 7pm+ you can be the first in line for the other 2 haunted houses. 4. no crowds means more time for pictures!!

this meant we cleared all the haunted houses quite early on and could take our own sweet time exploring and getting other rides! we also caught the 830pm show which was MINDBLOWING 🧠 overall price was also cheaper than express.

🍕FOOD.

our frights for 4 package came with 4 x set meals. we redeemed ours at the pizzeria beside sweet home - regular price per set meal which included 1 drink and the halloween featured item is SGD 25!! crazy. we had the “to die for pizza” but honestly it rly was not to die for. pretty average but enough to keep us powering through the night! you can also redeem the set meal at mel’s diner and the autobot cafe - they have different offerings but we didn’t pop by to check. the total value of our meals was SGD 100 if we paid without the voucher so i guess it made up for it!

👎🏼 UNINFORMED STAFF

this was the only unpleasant experience we had - which was a non-USS staff that wasn’t informed about the early entry. we had gone to the queues for regular entry at 545pm not knowing if there was a separate queue at first. when we asked the security guard (non-USS staff, they’re outsourced), he was super rude about it LOL he kept saying “u see inside USS? got ppl? if yes then no u cannot enter because they are the day crowd. u must wait until 7pm like everyone else to enter because this is a different event.”

my friend tried to explain that our tickets granted us early entry at 6pm but the security guard just kept saying “i don’t care, you have to wait like everyone else to enter at 7pm”. eventually we went to find someone else to check and found the frights for 4 queue to the right most part of the entry gate. all was well after, but the guard could’ve been much more polite and just point us to check with a USS staff instead of being sarcastic and dismissing our questions 🫠

🎃 overall i think paying $130 pp versus $90 pp to get early entry + some food during hhn was worth it!! our experience was a lot more pleasant compared to previous years since we didn’t have to squeeze w the crowd for the scaremony and we didn’t spend longer than 30 mins in any queue. considering that it’s still cheaper than buying the express pass, i would def do it again if it’s offered next year!! we also got $30 retail voucher from the package so we bought some shrek socks as a souvenir 🧦
