How to make Braised Pork Ribs with Sauce?
Ingredients:
• 500g pork ribs, cut into pieces
• 3 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon cooking wine
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 small piece of ginger, sliced
• 1 star anise
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 300ml water or chicken broth
• Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ribs: Blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 3-5 minutes to remove impurities. Drain and set aside.
2. Sauté Aromatics: Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ginger, garlic, star anise, and bay leaf. Stir-fry until fragrant.
3. Brown the Ribs: Add the blanched pork ribs to the pan and stir-fry until they are slightly browned.
4. Add Seasonings: Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, cooking wine, and sugar. Stir everything to coat the ribs evenly.
5. Simmer: Add water or chicken broth to the pan, covering the ribs. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30-40 minutes until the ribs are tender and the sauce has thickened.
6. Final Touches: Remove the cover and increase the heat to reduce the sauce further if needed, allowing it to coat the ribs.
