How to make Stir-Fried Spare Ribs?
Ingredients:
• 500g pork spare ribs, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon cooking wine (Shaoxing wine preferred)
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, julienned
• 1 red bell pepper, sliced
• 2 green onions, chopped
• 2 dried red chilies, chopped (optional)
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Ribs:
• In a bowl, mix the pork ribs with soy sauce, cooking wine, cornstarch, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Fry the Ribs:
• Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated ribs and stir-fry until they are browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the ribs and set them aside.
3. Stir-Fry the Aromatics:
• In the same pan, add more oil if necessary. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and dried chilies. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
4. Cook with Vegetables:
• Add the sliced red bell pepper and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
5. Combine and Serve:
• Return the ribs to the pan and mix well with the vegetables and aromatics. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes to ensure the ribs are fully coated with the flavors.
• Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
