How to make Baked Rice with Beef, Fresh Milk, and Cheese?

Ingredients:

• 2 cups cooked rice

• 200g ground beef

• 1 onion, finely chopped

• 1 garlic clove, minced

• 1 cup fresh milk

• 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

• 2 tablespoons butter

• 2 tablespoons flour

• Salt and pepper to taste

• A pinch of nutmeg (optional)

• Parsley for garnish

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Beef Mixture:

• In a pan, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until they become translucent.

• Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper.

• Once cooked, set the beef mixture aside.

2. Prepare the Creamy Sauce:

• In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and stir continuously to make a roux.

• Gradually pour in the fresh milk while stirring to avoid lumps. Continue to stir until the sauce thickens.

• Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg if using.

3. Assemble the Dish:

• Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

• In a baking dish, spread an even layer of cooked rice.

• Top the rice with the cooked beef mixture.

• Pour the creamy sauce over the beef and rice, ensuring it is evenly distributed.

• Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.

4. Bake:

• Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top.

5. Serve:

• Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
