How to make Scallion Roasted Pork Chop?
Ingredients:
• 4 pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 2 tablespoons cooking wine
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 4 green onions (scallions), cut into 2-inch pieces
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
• 1/2 cup water
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Pork Chops:
• In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine, black pepper, and salt.
• Add the pork chops and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Sear the Pork Chops:
• Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
• Sear the pork chops on both sides until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the Scallion Sauce:
• In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
• Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
• Add the green onions and stir-fry until they are softened.
• Add the oyster sauce and water, then stir to combine.
4. Roast the Pork Chops:
• Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
• Place the seared pork chops on a baking sheet and pour the scallion sauce over them.
• Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the pork chops are fully cooked and the sauce is caramelized.
5. Serve:
• Plate the pork chops and drizzle the remaining sauce over them.
• Garnish with fresh green onions if desired.
