STEP BY STEP 👇🏼
I had a few boxes of leftover & broken Zellige hand cut tiles from my laundry room makeover but not enough for another big project. (a / d) So, I decided to tile this cheap MDF console/ entryway table we’ve had laying around! Here’s how I did it 👇🏼
1. I reinforced the table with lots of wood screws since I knew I’d be adding quite a bit of weight to it
2. I applied tile adhesive to the table, then back buttered the backs of the tiles & placed them onto the table! I did small sections since the tile adhesive can dry pretty quick
3. These tiles are hand cut and spacers aren’t typically used with them. So I free handed everything & placed them so they were touching
4. I used a manual tile cutter to cut pieces to side for the front of the table
5. I gave it a few days for the adhesive to dry, then I applied grout in the color Rain with my float. I also did this in small sections & wiped off with a clean sponge!
6. I then used my @colorreader ColorReader EZ (use code LILLY for $10 off) to find the closest paint color match to the tiles, which ended up being Calligraphy by Behr! ✨
7. I painted the underside since & it was truly a perfect match! I love the way it came out!
