My Haircut Turned Many Heads 🤨

When I first saw the Jellyfish haircut on TikTok, I knew I had to try it because I was in a huge dilemma of wanting short or long hair 🤨I mainly got my inspiration from Mari on TikTok and went to Kenaris Salon at Wheelock to cut it for $76! First timers get 20% off :) (pictured in Slide 2!)

⭐️ How's the maintenance?

I usually don't style my hair and just tying two braids in the longer ends was more than enough for me! When my hair started growing out, I just went to a neighbourhood salon to get it trimmed so that I wouldn't have the awkward shoulder length hair but since I am now trying to grow out more of my hair, I try to tame my hair with some hair oil after washing my hair + spraying hair spray to my curtain bangs to keep its shape. On fancier occasions, I would curl my hair for a more voluminous look!

🌸 Should you give it a shot?

This hairstyle is certainly not for everyone, and it can be quite out of the ordinary to have especially if you are in a environment where hair plays a big role in professionalism. But if you are looking for something more fun to try, and maybe you've already tried the wolf cut or the butterfly cut, this hairstyle would certainly be less shocking to ease yourself into! Plus, if you do dislike it eventually, you have the option of cutting the ends off and have short hair or like me, keep growing it long enough to cut it back to something you are more comfortable in!

✨Will I do it again?

Honestly if I had the luxury to keep going back to a professional salon to keep up with the hairstyle, I would keep it 100%. But, now that I am back in school I don't have the time or budget to keep up with the hairstyle, now I am waiting for my hair to grow out to go back to my old wolf cut that is more sustainable to keep! But I definitely felt really happy with how it looked and being able to share the hairstyle with my friends was definitely a joy too 🥰
