Growing up, I once visited a random salon at Nex just because I had the urge to cut and didnβt want to go to my usual salonβ¦. And I regretted because the person did such a bad job π₯Ή
I was then always afraid to try a new salon because insecurities and all, I was scared to venture out because hair became important and I always needed my mum to accompany me to the salon we always go to #GirlTalk #Adulting101
I DECIDED to be a grown up to find my own salon and was looking for one to snip off my hair because the weather got TOO HOT.

β’ Went for a free dye because a hair stylist student needed a hair model for his exams! I was amazed at his hair-washing techniques and in awe at how gentle he was treating my hair because I almost feel asleep (it was that comfy)!

β’ Price differs according to the level of the stylist; βjunior stylistβ is the lowest in tier and costs the least!

β’ The hair-wash was as amazing as the first time I remembered! It wasnβt too short and the duration was enough for me to enjoy the wash substantially!
β’ The hair-washing area was so spacious, I felt like I was at a very luxurious salon when in fact I will only be paying $22!

β’ Before the cut, I showed her some pictures of my desired look and I was actually expecting her to give me some advice because I wasnβt sure how short I wanna cut till! She was a little quiet (she looks young, around my age!) and didnβt show as much initiative as I would like her toβ¦.. I then probed and got some answers I needed.
β’ It was evident that she was putting in effort to deliver what I wanted! She took her time to ensure that the hair was cut properly!
β’ The hair cut turned out well and I was glad I got to do this by myself! (Ofc with some company from my bf!)

β’ I like the hair stylist to be a little more assertive, to give their input when necessary! Sometimes I donβt even know what I wanna know (Iβm not the expert at hair here!)

Going into this, know that you are just paying $22! I donβt have much to complain when Iβm getting such a good wash and an alright haircut (I wonβt say itβs the best because itβs not!)β¦.. π
