HAIRCUT + WASH at only $22 ?!? 💇‍♀️💆‍♀️

Growing up, I once visited a random salon at Nex just because I had the urge to cut and didn’t want to go to my usual salon…. And I regretted because the person did such a bad job 🥹

I was then always afraid to try a new salon because insecurities and all, I was scared to venture out because hair became important and I always needed my mum to accompany me to the salon we always go to #GirlTalk #Adulting101

I DECIDED to be a grown up to find my own salon and was looking for one to snip off my hair because the weather got TOO HOT.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙆𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙚…

• Went for a free dye because a hair stylist student needed a hair model for his exams! I was amazed at his hair-washing techniques and in awe at how gentle he was treating my hair because I almost feel asleep (it was that comfy)!

𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜…

• Price differs according to the level of the stylist; ‘junior stylist’ is the lowest in tier and costs the least!

𝙃𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚

• The hair-wash was as amazing as the first time I remembered! It wasn’t too short and the duration was enough for me to enjoy the wash substantially!

• The hair-washing area was so spacious, I felt like I was at a very luxurious salon when in fact I will only be paying $22!

𝙃𝙖𝙞𝙧 𝘾𝙪𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚

• Before the cut, I showed her some pictures of my desired look and I was actually expecting her to give me some advice because I wasn’t sure how short I wanna cut till! She was a little quiet (she looks young, around my age!) and didn’t show as much initiative as I would like her to….. I then probed and got some answers I needed.

• It was evident that she was putting in effort to deliver what I wanted! She took her time to ensure that the hair was cut properly!

• The hair cut turned out well and I was glad I got to do this by myself! (Ofc with some company from my bf!)

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙?

• I wasn’t served tea or any beverages! Was it because I got the cheapest deal?? #gooddeals nonetheless because it was only $22!!

• I like the hair stylist to be a little more assertive, to give their input when necessary! Sometimes I don’t even know what I wanna know (I’m not the expert at hair here!)

Going into this, know that you are just paying $22! I don’t have much to complain when I’m getting such a good wash and an alright haircut (I won’t say it’s the best because it’s not!)….. 😃
