(PT 1) I MOVED TO LA 3,000 miles from home…

There is a LOT to this story, but we're gonna start with where it all started 2 years ago when I finally decided I was ready and able to up and move myself, my family, my business, and my whole life to Los Angeles.

I have dreamed of living in California my whole life. I felt called to it, like it was home. Like I was meant to be going back to it. I never understood why, but I also didn't care. It was where I KNEW I needed to be.

I took on several jobs that pushed my small business, Only With Love, over the 6-figure mark. One of my highest earning months being just short of $50,000 sitting at $47,600. WOW. Even writing that seems crazy! Anyways...

I felt confident that I had grown my business to something sustainable, I mean I was making more than everyone I knew and also even some adults in my family. Logically, I felt I had the means and could take off into my new chapter, moving to Los Angeles.

So I did all the things: I moved out of my apartment. I stacked more and more money. I rented a GIANT RV and packed it to the freaking brim with all my crap. I put a $20,000 deposit on a new and GORGEOUS 2 bedroom LA home in the heart of mid-city. It felt like a dream come true and I had worked for it...

I said goodbye to my family, my hometown and friends and off I went into the literal unknown. I look back and think about how brave that was, at 24 years old to do that blindly. I had so much trust in myself. But what I didn't know was what absolute trials and tribulations were in the future...
