I've been loving cream of rice for breakfast recently! It's quick, easy to add protein powder to, and fills you up! I've also been trying to incorporate foods that are good for my gut, but don't take a ton of effort.

That's why I put together this quick and easy Pumpkin Spice Cream of Rice for Gut Health (I know it's not fall yet, but it's been in the mid 60s in the mornings where I live, so I'm pretending. Plus, pumpkin is eternal! 😝).

Step 1: Combine 1/4 cup of cream of rice with 1 cup of water and heat in microwave for 1 minute. Mix and heat for 1 more minute.

Step 2: Stir in 1/2 a scoop of protein powder of choice (I used salted caramel but would recommend vanilla if you have it) If desired also add in 1 scoop of creatine.

Step 3: Stir 2 tablespoons of pumpkin and 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds and 1 tablespoon of flax seeds to the top and additional cinnamon if desired.

So, what makes this recipe good for you gut?

▪️ Pumpkin is high in fiber which acts as a prebiotic and helps promote good gut bacteria.

▪️ Chia seeds are great for keeping you regular and help to improve intestine health.

▪️ Flex seeds also help to promote good gut bacteria and help with overall metabolic rate!
