THEY HELPED ME SO MUCH AT WORK

Working as a #CorporateGirlie in an agency made me realised… I am actually not as speedy and efficient as i thought. 😂 Throughout my time here, i learnt ways to better manage my time and myself, and how i can possibly work more effectively and efficiently. Work can be really crazy at times and ngl, they really helped me heaps in getting things controlled.

2 of these #apps are what i use on a daily basis to speak to my colleagues so they are defo not something “extra”i’ve done for myself. #tipsandtricks #My9to5 #MyGoTo

Here’s how i use them daily - let me know if you do too!

🫶🏻 Telegram: This platform is definitely my go-to for quick notes taking and even dumping of screenshots from calls. Most importantly, it doesnt lag and i am able to pin, search and refer to any infor at anytime i want. Occasionally, i use tele as a place to draft messages to my team/text for review. Very convenient! But ofc, there’s downside to this. 🫠 As tele might be a relatively personal platform to some, they don’t really prefer having their personal and worklife mixed together. What i did is to create a separate group for myself and dump all work stuff into this group- just for my quick reference. (but my team does use tele so.. its to each of your own!)

🫶🏻 Microsoft Teams: aaaaaa so many things to comment about but i have been using this trick since a year ago when i started to get more work rolling in daily. Teams is not the best app (no offence to anyone) but it allows me to visualise my time better. Blocking my calendar with my to-dos and the amount of time required gives me a better gauge of how much more i can take from the team & how to say no/negotiate timeline. One thing that i always do - buffer more time then intended to the actual task, just so we account for hiccups/mistakes/last min additional tasks/communication with team. And most importantly, i use this app to communicate with my colleagues every day~ Down side… Its really laggy and can only pin one message. But you can definitely leverage on the available apps within the app itself to make platform easier to manage/collaborate with your teams.

🫶🏻 Notion: Saving the best for the last…!!! #notion is something i use personally. Find it v easy to use with many different templates for work and note taking. Definitely keeping things very neat and tidy! As i have timesheets to key, i love how i am able to tabulate the hours (just like excel) and at the same time have a list of to-dos and track my progress and deadline. It’s an all-in-one app! Most importantly, it looks clean and minimalistic. 🤪 Like many other apps, this is not the easiest one to navigate but if you’d like to, you may go ahead and use their templates to get you started.
