Mississippi Pot Roast
Ingredients
•2 Au Jus packets
•pepperoncinis
•butter
I just put the chuck roast in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper, then I add 2 au jus packets to the roast and pour about a 1/2 cup of water in with it. Then I put approximately 4tbsp of butter in the crockpot. The last step is adding the pepperoncinis. I usually add about half a jar of them, along with a little bit of the juice (this step depends on your preference - the more pepperoncinis/juice, the more kick your roast will have)
I cook on low for 6-7 hours (this varies depending on the size of roast - you just want it to be very tender and fall apart easily with a fork)
I served it over mashed potatoes & with crescent rolls.
