I’m currently 10 months postpartum and I’ve pretty much fully got my body back to how I was pre-baby! I was definitely more toned before I had my baby, however my weight is the same as before.
Here are a few things I did to get my body back after having a baby:
• Started running again: I gradually started running again and walked daily. Before I had my baby I would run 3 miles no problem. Now I’m slowly getting back into it and ran 2 miles the other day! Any type of cardio is great!
• Light weight workouts: everything I’ve done in terms of working out has been gradual so I’ve been doing light weight workouts to build my muscle again. By doing this a few times a week, I’ve noticed a big difference in my body tone.
• Lots of water: I always have my water bottle with me and drinking lots of water is super important!
• Increasing my protein: I’ve always been a healthy eater so I didn’t have to change that much postpartum, however I have upped my protein. I make sure every meal has some sort of protein in it!
• Don’t stress: this might be the most important one of all! As new moms, we not only just grew a human, but we birthed one as well! It’s a lot of work and giving ourselves grace is important.
