This or That: Loose or Slim Fit?

Hello all!

This is my first post on Lemon8 after lurking here for ages and scrolling through the multiple content topics (I love the helpful tips and shopping hauls hehe) 😙

I need help with choosing a size for this pair of jeans from ✨ Love Bonito! It is the 🛒 Elsie Denim Straight Leg Jeans in Indigo and I really love its contrast stitching 🩷

Is it me, or did their cutting get slightly bigger? The pair on the left is in S and the right is in XS. I’m a usual size S but I’m not sure which is better tbh because the S seems a little loose and baggy (but gr8 for a food belly) and XS seems so nicely structured and makes my legs look slimmer and longer.

Not sure if it’s due to the material (it’s soft and slouchy denim) either because XS is not too tight and restrictive when I usually can’t even fit in their XS.

Would appreciate any thoughts and opinions on this!! I really love this pair and hope to get it before it sells out in stores 😩
