You guys know I’ve been actively working out at Body Fit Training (BFT) for a while now, and I’m here to share my honest opinions on whether it really is worth your money & time after 6+ months in!

🤔 WHAT IS BFT? 🤔

BFT is a group strength training studio, which offers a massive variety of 50-minute programmes, from cardio, strength, functional and core stability etc. to provide positive outcomes for all fitness levels!

🏋🏻‍♀️  MY MOTIVATIONS 🏋🏻‍♀️

Why I chose to join a group studio over heading to the gym myself, is purely because it’s so intimidating heading to the gym alone as a girl! Prior to attending BFT, I also worked out in the comfort of my own home (mostly HIIT/pilates workouts) which required little to no equipment. So coupled with my fear of going to the gym alone, and my lack of knowledge in the different kinds of gym equipment, BFT seemed like the best option for me!

💖  WHAT I LOVE ABOUT BFT 💖

1️⃣  COMMUNITY 1️⃣

BFT prides themselves on their unique community environment, where studios are filled with motivating and encouraging members, and I wholeheartedly agree! Despite being introverted, I find that the trainers at BFT (Orchard) and members are all super friendly and welcoming, and it’s definitely a plus point in motivating me to attend sessions!

2️⃣  PROGRESSIVE PROGRAM 2️⃣ 

BFT’s programme is progressive, whereby each week’s programme is meant to activate your muscle fibre types, work through 3 planes of movement and stress your 3 energy systems! Each programme lasts around 8 weeks, and each week the workouts get even more intense, enabling you to push yourself to the limit and get those incremental gains! Now that it’s been over 6 months since I started, I definitely see myself getting leaner and stronger, especially in my arms! I find that I’m also able to walk for longer distances without breaking out into heavy panting 💪🏻 

3️⃣  PERSONAL TRAINING 3️⃣ 

Though BFT is essentially a group studio, the trainers there are super dedicated and knowledgeable and are ready to help provide any 1-1 help that you might need during each session. I still struggle with my form for deadlifts, but the trainers will take the time to help me out and correct my form to help me achieve the minimum rep targets! They also educate us on which muscle groups we should be using for workouts, which further helps in getting the right form! 🥹

Overall, not only does BFT help you achieve your fitness goals, but it also helps with mental well-being. The endorphins released during the workout always leave me feeling energised and happy! While BFT can be on the pricier side compared to other fitness options, but I personally find that the results are worth it. The personalized attention, the challenging workouts, and the community feel make BFT an excellent investment for your health and well-being. I’d say if you have the means, it’s definitely an effective way to achieve your fitness goals. Give it a try and see the results for yourself!
