hello!
Let me share with you the studio that 'kick-started' the pilates era for me! PILAYDAY STUDIO (Holland V). I joined them alsooo when they started not long ago, and here's my experience with them! 🥰
PROS:
✅️ Location is near to MRT station (Holland Village)
✅️ Personalised classes - due to the nature of class size (private and duet)
✅️ Highly RECOMMEND their KOREAN instructor ALEX and QUEENSIE⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ very strong and you can tell they knows their stuff. for a beginner like myself they also give really clear instructions. QUEENSIE is quite petite but she can really support you!!
✅️ very nice staff in general! I even met their founder at one class and she even came to check in on how things are!!
✅️ Beautiful studio aesthetics, wooden floors with pinkish reformer beds/chair super pretty!
🟡 During the private class I was able to try out all their equipment, reformer bed, chair, barrel and it helped me get equipped with the machines for other visits
CONS:
☹️ it's quite a small studio which could probably accommodate 2 duets and 1 single class at once
☹️ spaces could be cramp and you might not be able to request for certain equipment, classes and instructors. Alex is super popular and I found it hard to have a timing that suits me.
☹️ 💸💸💸💸💸 private class is expensive!! $150-160 for a class of 50/60mins. They have small discounts for package classes of 10 and 20s
🤔 the teachers are all so professional and nice! If you have specific pilates goals (ie: alignment, posture or just want to try out more equipment that you don't get at usual bigger classes) I would recommend them!
