Before I had a consistent evening routine, I had a hard time falling asleep each night. I would attempt to fall asleep with actions such as watching a movie or scrolling on my phone. Come to find out, the blue light was keeping me awake and keeping my mind stimulated!
For my evening routine, I try and focus on actions that naturally promote relaxation, and I think I finally figured it out!
Yoga - I do this for only 10-15 minutes. But it helps me work out any physical kinks in my body, and allows me to sleep more comfortably. Not to mention, it is a great low-impact workout that still challenges me.
Tea - This is my habit that allows me to bring my relaxation inward - it tastes yummy too!
Reading - I love to curl up on my couch, or my bed, with a nice comfy blanket and read. The physical comfort, in addition to the distraction from my mind, allows me to fall asleep sooooooo fast! I read at least one chapter each night, but honestly, sometimes I’m yawning before even finishing one.
