where to get beads: hidden gems in Chinatown🫢💎

this is for those whose inner-child is coming alive right now as you are seeing this… and if you wanna relive your childhood to make some friendship bracelets or even a piece of jewellery perfect for a gift, i gotchu! 😉 here are some places that i usually shop at and where you can easily find affordable yet pretty-looking beads~

[ 1 ] Shinobeads 🌸

📍Location: People’s Park Centre, #02-56A

💭 Thoughts: Shinobeads has a huge range of beads and craft materials like charms, etc. for quite an affordable price! You can even hand-pick beads of your choice and they will charge you by weight, at 10 cents per gram. They sell beads in packets too, and if you’re looking for simpler or cute beads you can find them all here! They also have a loyalty card which my friend and i collected stamps together and had a $20 storewide off recently, after filling up the card. and one stamp could be earned with $20 spent at one time! plus points that the store owners are always so helpful and nice🥰

[ 2 ] Beads & Crafts 🪐

📍 Location: People’s Park Centre, #02-59

💭 Thoughts: If i’m looking for beads that are more exotic or unique, i’d come here! they have TONS of beads and in many sizes as well, and they sell things such as clay charms, etc so you could even customise/make your own keychains. they also have a selection of individually-priced beads which are pretty affordable too i must say. once i was looking through some individually-priced resin charm for nice designs, the store owner pulled out a HUGE plastic bag full of many others of the same kind for me to dig…. i seriously LOVE.

there are definitely more places in People’s Park Centre that sells really nice beads and similar items too, but these were my top picks from the area!! 10/10 recommend💯 let me know in the comments if you’ve been to these stores/planning to go! 😝
