Having trouble feeling the (HELLISH) split squats in your glutes? I got you!!

πŸ’― Glute Focused Split Squats

πŸ”΄ have your legs just slightly further away from the bench

πŸ”΄ bring your torso slightly forward

πŸ”΄ important! When moving down, think of an escalator and how it moves.

We want to move like that, as it’ll be a hip hinge movement and will target your glutes.

πŸ”΄ weights can be at both side at your legs or it can be held at where your working leg is (the one on the ground)

πŸ”΄ drive with your front foot only, the back foot is only there for support. We do not push with the back foot.

πŸ’― Quad Focused Split Squats

πŸ”΄ legs are closer together

πŸ”΄ chest out and move up and down like an elevator ⬆️⬇️

πŸ”΄ take note of my front foot, it is a little more angled compared to a glute focused squat

πŸ”΄ push with your working leg only, the back foot is only for support.

It will take a while before getting used to it and feeling the difference but practice it often and you’ll get there!!
