I completely feel into intermittent fasting by accident. First off, I had never heard about I.F. until a well coach friend of mine had mentioned it. I never got hungry until 12pm and I naturally ate dinner around 6pm. So my eating schedule worked perfectly with I.F.
I currently partake in the 16:8 diet where I usually have my first meal at 12-1PM and my last meal is at 8PM. I do have a yogurt right before taking my pre-workout for the gym just so I don't go on an empty stomach.
I've learned a lot about intermittent fasting. First off, please don't take this diet too seriously. I've been doing it for years and I still make mistakes. I have late-night munchies and wake up a too hungry for my liking. So if your body is saying that you're hungry - eat.
What's great about intermittent fasting is that I never really worry about what I need to eat as long as I'm MINDFUL about it. I can eat a salad if I feel like it or a big fat plate of pasta if that's what I'm craving. My relationship with food is always a priority. Mindful eating to me is the only way you can maintain a healthy diet.
So if you're ever interested in I.F. just remember:
1. It's not that serious
2. It's a great way to keep your nutrition in check
3. Have fun with trying something new!
