How To Get Over Being Dumped… By a Friend.

I remember when I was just entering my 20’s I had a group of friends and we were all VERY close. We lived together in the same house and did everything together. We all went home for the summer and came back and things were just… different. I specifically remember one friend stopped talking to me entirely and I had no clue why. I pined over this friendship and was so desperate to know what happened, but it never came. We in fact became friends again at a later time and I still didn’t get an explanation or an opportunity to right any wrongs, and the friendship fizzled out yet again. This time I took matters into my own hands when it came to healing from a friendship breakup because we all know they can be so difficult. There’s no playbook but my key in all of this was empathy that led to forgiveness without any need for an explanation. I hope that she is doing well today and I know this helped me so much in moving on in the right direction.
