guess which one I didn't like ( spoiler free! )

Hi friends 🍋🍋🍋

I have watched two of the hottest films, Barbie and Oppenheimer, in the theaters, and here are my thoughts! 💭

1) Barbie 💅

it was fun experience leading up to the movie, I dressed in pink with my friends and went to the theater with excitement! 🏩

What I like 🩷

- Lot of dance numbers, which was fun!

- Movie didn't take itself too seriously, which I liked!

- some touching moment, I cried at one scene

What I didn't enjoyed 💔

- Tends to be overly preachy at times, and I actually dozed off towards the end 💤

- The plot felt a bit disjointed (although, to be fair, it's a movie about Barbie, so can't really expect the plot to be too logical).

2) Oppenheimer 💣

I went in this movie with low expectations cos a few of friends who watched it didn't enjoy it.

What I like 🔥

- A very coherent and smooth narrative flow

- The build-up to the climax was well-done and kept me engaged

- v thought-provoking, left a greater impression on me compared to Barbie

- Personally, I was intrigued by the physics aspects of the movie

What I didn't enjoy 💔

- SO MANY CHARACTERS, SO MANY NAMES TO REMEMBER! which make it quite challenging to follow the storyline

- The plot can be lil too complex , I think I only understand 70% of the movie 💀💀💀

Barbie vs. Oppenheimer? 🍿

I'm Team Oppenheimer all the way! The suspense and build-up to the climax won me over💗

Barbie was very hype up tbh, and it's a fun watch if you don't take it too seriously. But honestly, it's a movie I'd rather stream online at home. And oh, it was also the first time I toh in the cinema 😴

This is all just my personal take – don't come at me pls 🫢
