Trying the viral Clinique Black Honey lip balm 🍒

I met up with an old friend last week and she very kindly gifted me this Clinique lip balm. While I’m not a regular on tiktok, she mentioned that it’s been trending so I was intrigued.

As a lip balm enthusiast, I was excited to give it a try!

Here are my first impressions of the Clinique Black Honey Lip Balm:

▪️Provides a subtle hint of colour to make your lip pop.

▪️Buildable formula, so you can achieve a darker look with more layers of application.

▪️Provides decent hydration.

▪️Lightweight and non-sticky so it’s comfortable for all day wear.

▪️Seems fragrance-free, though not explicitly stated on the packaging.

▪️Smooth application.

What I don’t particularly like about it:

The darker tone of this lip balm complements my eyebags and seem to make them more obvious hahaha, but this happens with other lipsticks/ balms of other similar shades too. So I wouldn’t say that it’s an issue of this lip balm per se. Perhaps I’ll try out the Pink Honey one instead next time!
