An adapted (and more 馃budget馃) version of the classic cabonara which only uses 6 main ingredients! It鈥檚 one of my favourite pastas to make as it is simple and tasty.
Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2 egg yolks (and some white)
A heap of grated parmesan cheese
Black pepper, 1/2 teasooon
Bacon
Pasta of choice
Olive oil
Salt
Water
Directions
1. Add salt to a boiling pot of water and put in the choice of pasta, cook according to package instructions
2. crack two eggs and separate its yolks
3. add in the parmesan cheese and black pepper, and mix it well
4. Add about 4 tbspoon of salted pasta water into the egg mixture to loosen it
5. Fry bacon in a pan until slightly brown and crispy, reserve some bacon for garnish
6. Turn off the heat and add the al dente pasta into the pan
7. Add the egg mixture in and mix well
8. Plate the pasta and add in the reserved bacon and some more cheese馃
