Eatery opened by celebrity Ben Yeo and Chef Cao Yong, nested in the middle of the Kallang Bahru industrial estate.

Visited on a Thursday with my colleagues and noticed that crowd has formed even before 6.30pm. It would be good to make a phone reservation first to reduce waiting time. We made a booking reservation at 6.30pm and had our food served around 7.10pm.

The eatery is located in an industrial building canteen and is not air-conditioned. While there were big ceiling fans, we did not get a good seat and it was really hot and stuffy for us.

Fish soup broth was served in a copper pot and simmered over charcoal fire. We have to cook the raw fish slices on our own. Broth was thick and flavourful. Grouper meat was so fresh and tender. Also love that the fish skin is so thick and gelatinous.

The other zi char dishes were also great as well! Seafood dishes like crab and scallops were sweet and fresh. 五香 had a crisp coat with chunks of water chestnut and tentalizing juicy meat. 南乳猪肉 was also well marinated!
