Freezing garlic in bulk to last a good 4-6 months

If I were to buy this quantity ready made in the supermarket (those in huge buckets in oil), it’ll probably cost around $9?

The process was… peeling / smashing it to peel one by one 👉🏻 put it into the mini blender 👉🏻 transferring it to a ziploc bag 👉🏻 segmenting it to freeze.

There were like 10 garlic bulbs in one bag and peeling it was the most tedious part that took up most of my time LOL I wanted to give up halfway through and thought to myself … let’s just buy the processed ones next time 🫠

Pro tip on freezing minced garlic: segment them up in the bag with chopsticks so it freezes nicely in blocks so it’s easy for you to take a portion out when you want to cook it.

Ok but after all the work’s, I realised this can probably last me for half a year. And at least it doesn’t come with any preservatives and it’s not processed. Definitely the healthier option!

Would I do it again? If it’s a bi-annual activity I guess it’s ok 😂 kinda bonded with my partner doing it tgt too 😂😂
