don’t fall into this mindset!!
this mindset can be super toxic and lead into burnout. in fact that’s what almost happened to me!
here’s what i do instead to make sure i never fall into that way of thinking:
🤍 when i am very sore or feel that i need rest, i take a rest day (its okay if i switch around my split)
🤍 i love running but it took a major toll on my body and i ended up getting injured. now im slowly incorporating running and only do hiit about once a week!
🤍 you don’t have to earn your food! just because you eat too much the day before doesn’t mean you have to hit a hard gym session the next day to balance it out!
🤍 sugar free foods have lots of chemicals/artificial sweeteners that aren’t the best for you! just eat the real thing and remember everything in moderation!
🤍 this last one almost made me have major burnout in the gym. i was spending hours multiple days a week and my body was screaming at me to stop! when i stopped making the gym my whole personality it finally allowed me to have a healthy relationship with exercise!
the funny thing is i thought working out to much and eating low cal, low fat, and sugar free foods was actually healthy, but it was preventing my progress in the gym and taking a toll on my health.
