Who has tried the Olive Garden Zuppa Toscana 🙋🏼♀️ & have craved for some more? Well I am sharing my recipe with you. Let me tell you it is my go to when I want to make something quick & filling 😋. Most of the ingredients you can find in your pantry. Feel free to use any veggies or ingredients you prefer in your soup. Make it comfortable for your home 🏡😉♥️.
Ingredients 📝:
1 lb Italian Sausage 🍖
1 Whole Sweet Onion 🧅
3 Garlic Cloves Minced 🧄
1 Bouquet of Kale 🥬
1 Tablespoon of Flour 🥄
1 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream 🥛
32 oz Chicken Broth 🐔
1/2 lb Baby Dutch Yellow Potatoes 🥔
Desired Amount of Bacon Bits 🥓
Step 1:
On a medium to high heat add the ground Italian sausage into your favorite pot. Mix mix mix 🥄.
Step 2:
While you wait for your meat to brown. Begin dicing your sweet onion 🧅 & mince three or more cloves of garlic 🧄. Once the meat begins to brown add the dice onion & minced garlic into the pot. Don’t forget mix mix mix 🥄.
Step 3:
Once your onion is translucent add 1 tablespoon of flour & mix mix mix. Immediately pour your favorite chicken broth into the pot.
Step 4:
In the meantime cover the pot with a lid. While you wait for the broth to boil. Begin slicing your potatoes 🥔 & kale 🥬 . Rinse 🚿 + drain 💦 all your veggies in a separate container 🫙, then put them to the side.
Step 4:
Once you begin to see your broth boil. Add your sliced potatoes into your pot. Once again, mix mix mix 🥄😋. Allow the potatoes to cook to your desired texture. (Usually, for about 7-10 mins)
Step 5:
Upon the potatoes fully cooked. Add your chopped kale 🥬 + bacon 🥓 bits + heavy whipping cream 🥛. Mix mix mix 🥄.
Step 6:
Almost done 😉. Cover your pot. Set on low for 5 minutes wait until it simmers. Then, turn it off.
Step 7:
Now for the best part 🤗 serving! I love to add red chili 🌶️ flakes, parmesan cheese 🧀 & a side of club crackers 🍞…honestly any way tastes delicious!!!
