🛍️ Taipei D04: Eslite, Carrefour, Gloria Outlets

This was our last day in Taiwan so it’s the default last min shopping day 🥲 We checked out of our Ximending airbnb at 11am to have lunch nearby~

Our schedule for the rest of the day was: leave Ximending at 4pm, board HSR at 5pm, reach Gloria Outlets at 6pm, then flight at 1am 🥲

📚 01 | Eslite Spectrum (成品生活西门町点)

📍 No. 52, Emei St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108

We headed straight to the top floor to explore the books and little artist corners 😍 I have a thing where i buy a book from countries i have visited before, so i got an illustrated cat comic book in chinese hehe. There were a lot of seating areas here which we generously used to escape from the heat outside 🥵

🍜 02 | Carrefour Supermarket (家乐福)

Okay so one of our top to do list for this Taiwan trip was to stock up on our fav TTL Hua Diao Wine/Sesame Oil instant noodles!! Which sadly for the past few days, we didn’t spot them in any 711 or Family Marts we went (they only had the cup noodles version but we wanted the packet kind).. until a kind sales lady told us to look for them in supermarkets instead 😎 so actually we wanted to go the one at Guilin because it’s huge, but we ended up at the Changsha one which was smaller, but it’s ok we got what we wanted 🤤 ITS RLY GOOD OK my mum bought an entire carton (as gifts for other friends & fam too) 😛

🛍️ 03 | Gloria Outlets (華泰名品城)

📍 No. 189號, Chunde Rd, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan 320

We took the HSR from Taipei to Taiyuan station and arrived around 7pm (our HSR train was delayed for an hour 😭 a story for another time). There was a food court upstairs which we had our dinner at! Because we came so late, there weren’t many people around except for some residents and occasional tourists. I spotted a cinema there too!! Didn’t get anything, but overall a pretty chill place to stroll at before we headed to the airport.

Having a 1am flight is such a tiring experience 😭 having to hobo around w luggages for a full day really took a toll on us 😢 (i knocked out once i sat on my plane seat 😴)

But good thing is Taipei is very generous with their public seats - like we chilled at this 711 that had a spacious dining area for their patrons! We bought some food of course, but i love that the employees don’t chase away people who have overstayed 🥲 i rly love taiwan and can’t wait to come back for the 4th time 😝
