Tight hamstrings are SO common, if you’ve ever bent over towards your toes and realized you can’t touch, you probably have tight hamstrings

It’s also very common to have a tight lower back when you have tight hamstrings so these stretches are actually great for that too!

Ideally I try to do these at least once a day because I have such tight hamstrings, but at a minimum I do them 3x a week and try to hold the stretches for 20-30 seconds each time

For the first stretch you’ll start in a deep lunge, and then shift your weight back while reaching towards your toes.

Even if you can’t reach your toe, you’re going to want to stretch as far as you can while keeping your back straight

The longer you hold it, the further you might be able to stretch

For the second stretch you’re going to lay flat on your back, and then raise one leg as high as you can, don’t worry if you can’t get the leg up too high!

The important thing is to just raise this leg as high as you can abs hold it for as long as possible

Be sure to breathe nice and deep as you hold these stretches!!
