-Ingredient-

13 oz chow mein noodles

1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, cut into thin strips

1 large carrot, cut into thin strips

1 large red pepper, sliced

1 shallot, sliced

2 teaspoons minced garlic

1 tablespoon ginger, grated

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

-Lo Mein Sauce-

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup soy sauce

1 teaspoon hot sauce

2 teaspoons sesame oil

2 teaspoons cornstarch

4 tablespoons honey

-Detailed Steps-

Step1~ Prepare the chicken and vegetables.

Step2~ Cook noodles according to the instructions on the packet. Drain noodles and put them to the side.

Step3~ When noodles are boiling, mix the ingredients for lo mein sauce in a small bowl.

Step4~ Over medium heat, sauté chicken until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and put to side. Sauté carrots, red peppers, and onions in the same skillet. Add the garlic and ginger, cook until done.

Step5~ Combine chicken and noodles to the vegetables. Pour the sauce over everything and cook for about 2 minutes, on medium/low heat until sauce thickens.

-Additional Notes-

* Can substitute chicken with beef, pork, or shrimp.

* Other vegetables you can use are broccoli, snow peas, zucchini, mushrooms, or cabbage.
