I wanted to start the 75 hard journey (for like the 5th time) and I got to day 46 this time. What made me stop and re-evaluate was the soreness I felt all over. I was having lower back pain and just felt so burned out. It was getting hard for me to keep doing workouts to my fullest potential. It felt like I was dragging myself to the finish line and my results were getting stagnant.
I knew that in order for me to build muscle and maintain it- I needed rest. And I know some days you could stretch or do yoga for that 45 mins but even that was becoming too much.
So I decided to “throw in the towel” and start over with my own rules.
But let me tell you what the challenge did so for me. Reading 10 pages a day of self help books became a game changer. I looked forward to reading everyday because I knew I was about to learn more that was gonna help me level up.
I love the outside workouts. I thought I would hate it but no it’s became my favorite part of each day!
I am glad I went as far as I did and I am grateful that I realized what needs to change. So here is my new rules for my journey. (Not gonna put a date on it because it’s a lifestyle change)
Monday-Friday : 2- 45 minute workouts (1 outside)
Drink plenty of water
80/20 with food
Read 10 pages per day
Take progress pictures each day
